I love the outcome I\'ve had from the D80 but wonder if anyone else is having a Problem with the error message. I was told that the lense I us 200-500-F 4.5-6.1 Tamron would work ok with this camera.I used it two weeks before I went on a Florida Birding Trip. That\'s when I started to get the error messages, Turn it on and off and the eroor goes away. I bought the new Speedlight that recomended for this camera. I use Speedlights as lot when I can\'t shoot at high speed. I got two error messages today and then something unusual happened. The Speedlight was synched at 1/200 of a second. But when I took the shot it was like real slow maybe even a full second for the Shutter to open and shut. Wolf Camera thanks it\'s my lense and won\'t do much. Nikon says that they will only gurantee the camera with a Nikon Lense. Someone else has mentioned this problem but I can\'t find any info on it. Besides this one problem, I love the D80 and the outcome. I\'m getting great pictures. Have you heard anything about this error message on the D80.

Thanks in advance for your help

I suggest the D80 to all my friends when asked what camera they should get. The images are close to the D200. The red, blue and green appears more vibrant which I love about this camera. Then spend what would be left from saving your money on the D200 and buy a nice, fast lens. Half of my images on my site is taken with the D80 and the other half with the D200. Check it out at www.prodigy-studios.com. Email me if you have any questions at myong@prodigy-studios.com and check out my blog at www.prodigy-studios.com/blog/blog.html.

I wanted to let UK visitors to this site know that Jessops in London (the branch near Charing Cross Station) have a working sample which you can go in and play with. They won\'t let you use your own SD card, but it gives you a good feel of the D80 features and controls.
